Announcing the 2020 Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) Designates – Toronto Cohort

Published: Apr 15, 2020

OAKVILLE, ON – April 15, 2020 –  Family Enterprise Canada (FEC) is proud to announce the successful certification of 32 Family Enterprise Advisors (FEAs) from our Toronto 2019 cohort. Successful designates from our Calgary and Vancouver cohorts will be announced later this year. FEC sets the standard of education for advisors with the Family Enterprise Advisor Program. The FEA Program, offered in partnership with three Canadian universities, is a prerequisite to earning the FEA designation which represents the pinnacle of professional expertise in the field of family enterprise advising.

The FEA designation helps advisors, including accountants, lawyers, bankers, insurance and wealth advisors and coaches augment their formidable technical skills and showcase their commitment to family enterprises and their ability to bring timely and thoughtful solutions to the family table. Our designates report that the FEA Program has led to deeper relationships with their family enterprise clients and a broadened perspective of the issues business families face, including generational transition.

“This intense, year-long program, followed by a rigorous exam process, takes commitment and passion to complete,” says Russel Baskin, National Director, Education & Programming at Family Enterprise Canada. “Today, these dedicated professionals join the ranks of over 400 FEAs in Canada who have achieved the benchmark in family enterprise advising.”
